Concentration and Recovery of Valuable Heavy Minerals from Dredged Fine Aggregate Waste

چکیده
Inside the finest fractions of aggregates, usually wasted by ready mix concrete companies, valuable heavy minerals content is substantial. The concentration and recovery contained in dredged fine aggregates waste, located Pyeongtaek South Korea, were investigated to develop a process that can recover concentrate most each mineral. raw material contains ilmenite, magnetite, monazite, zircon. A gravity separation, recirculating middlings recovered zircon with 44.05%, 36.90%, 53.76%, 69.7% respectively. Nevertheless, magnetic separation followed non-magnetic fraction further improved 86.96%, 85.09%, 91.06%, 90.82% This was separated at different intensities. Magnetite concentrated 0.05 T, resulting 23.4% grade 95.1 wt%. Ilmenite 0.4 55.2% 84.2 Monazite 0.9 59.3% rare earth oxide 45.2%, has high content, 70.6% 91.8

Evaluation of Advanced Gravity and Magnetic Concentration of a PGM Tailings Waste for Chromite Recovery
This research was aimed at evaluating the efficiency of advanced gravity and magnetic separations on the recovery of chromite from the fine Platinum Group Metals (PGM) tailings consisting of particles 80% passing 75 µm with about 45% being >45 µm resulting in high chromite losses. The PGM plant tailings were subjected to X-ray fluorescence, scanning electron microscopy and particle size dis...
متن کاملLeaching of heavy metals from dredged bottom sediments
Deposition of sediments on land in atmospheric conditions causes many risks connected with environmental protection. Particularly dangerous is leaching of heavy metals from sediments deposited on land The research aimed at assessment of leaching of heavy metals from dredged bottom sediments potentially disposed on land. In this research it has been shown that the leaching of heavy metals during...
متن کاملRecovery of Ilmenite and Other Heavy Minerals from Teri Sands (Red Sands) of Tamil Nadu, India
The red sand which is known as Teri sand in Tamil Nadu consists of 5.5% Total Heavy Minerals (THM) out of which 3.7% is ilmenite. The other minerals, zircon, sillimanite and garnet are in the order of abundance identified. On processing this feed to recover ilmenite by using spirals followed by dry high intensity magnetic separator and high tension separator, the ilmenite concentrate obtained c...

Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is an appropriate insulating material for high-voltage cables which has been widely used as electrical cable coating. In this study, Crushed XLPE wastes with different volume percentages (25, 50, and 75%) were used in hot mix asphalt (HMA) as a substitute for fine aggregates remained on sieve no. 8 whose size varies from 1.18 to 2.36 mm. The dynamic stiffness (i...
متن کاملAssociation of fasting with heavy metals and minerals
Millions of Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan and avoid eating and drinking during this month (1). Fasting is a healthy and non-pharmacological way to improve your health and weight loss (2, 3). During fasting days, nutritional patterns and the amount of food consumed will change (4). It can be concluded that these changes can lead to changes in the metabolism of the human body. The purp...
